The Nepean Belle is a romantic old-world style Paddlewheeler. Reflecting the grace and charm of yester-year, the “Belle’s” interiors are beautifully panelled with stained timbers featuring cedar and teak. There is nothing quite like the nostalgia of the paddlewheels churning, the water lapping against the hulls, reliving the romance and excitement of the paddlewheel era. Cruising the wilderness areas of the Blue Mountains National Park and the Nepean Gorge you are guaranteed an unforgettable experience. Sunlit by day, the sandstone peaks of the Nepean Gorge towering up to 150 metres above the water are a striking backdrop to your cruise and provide great photo opportunities. In the National Park guests are treated to unique views of a largely unexplored wonderland of natural flora and native wildlife – including wombats, wallabies, lizards, eagles, cormorants and even mountain goats! Past “Rocky Island” at Glenbrook Creek the tinkling chorus of bellbirds resonates in song through the Gorge as the boat reaches its turning point at Euroka Creek. Beyond this lies secrets and stories belonging to the mountains and known only to the Aboriginal Dharug people, who settled the Nepean in the centuries before European discovery.
Today we head off to Penrith travelling along the Hume Highway before stopping for morning tea en route. We arrive at Penrith and board the ‘Nepean Belle’ in time for a 2-and-a-half-hour luncheon cruise through the Nepean Gorge and the Blue Mountains National Park. Enjoy the scenery as you listen to the Captain’s informative and entertaining commentary. Don’t forget your camera for great photo opportunities! Lunch is a buffet including BBQ chicken with chef’s seasoning, glazed leg ham platter, sautéed potato with mild cream cheese sauce, a selection of garden salads, pasta salad and French bread. Dessert is the chef’s selection that is served to your table with freshly brewed tea or coffee (subject to change seasonally). Drinks will also be available on board (at passengers’ own expense, cash only). Mid-afternoon the cruise returns to Penrith and we farewell our friendly hosts and reboard the coach to head back to Canberra and Queanbeyan. On our return journey, we will have a brief comfort stop before arriving back into Queanbeyan to commence drop offs at approximately 6.30-7:00pm.Booking Request Download Brochure Terms & Conditions
