Day 1: Canberra to Sydney
Welcome aboard our Potter Travel tour to Sydney to enjoy the magnificent Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This morning we travel to Sydney arriving in time for you to get yourself some lunch (own expense) at Barangaroo, a dynamic retail, cultural and financial hub, with more than 50 per cent of the precinct offering extraordinary public spaces for everyone to enjoy. Nestled between the natural beauty of Sydney Harbour and the bustling global city of Sydney, the 22-hectare development is a showcase of international design excellence, leading technologies, world-class sustainability, public art and cultural programs. At the northern end, Barangaroo Reserve is a six-hectare re-created Sydney Harbour headland. It offers an entirely Australian native garden and spectacular views. We make some time to take a look at Sydney’s newest harbour foreshore park – marking the transformation of one of the city’s oldest industrial sites into a spectacular headland open space for Sydney-siders and visitors to enjoy. We then settle into our hotel and have an early dinner before heading across to Homebush to watch Scotland’s famous Royal Military Edinburgh Tattoo. Featuring a magnificent spectacle of music, dance and precision displays we’ll witness the traditional Celtic massed pipes and drums, military bands and highland dancers. What a fantastic event! Afterwards we return to our hotel.

Day 2: Sydney to Canberra
After breakfast we take a brief sightseeing drive through the eastern beachside suburbs and surrounds, as we make our way south towards Wollongong. Our journey today takes us along Grand Pacific Drive, right on the coast. Sit back and enjoy the fabulous scenery including the 665 metre long Sea Cliff Bridge which is a highlight of the drive. It is a balanced cantilever bridge located in the northern Illawarra region. The $52 million bridge links the coastal villages of Coalcliff and Clifton. Featuring two lanes of traffic, a cycleway and a walkway, the bridge is a feature of the scenic Lawrence Hargrave Drive. The Sea Cliff Bridge is one of only seven off-shore parallel to coast bridges in the world. From here we continue onto Wollongong where we see the city’s picturesque harbour and Flagstaff Hill, plus make a lunch stop (own expense). This afternoon we head back to Canberra, completing our tour to Sydney and the fabulous Edinburgh Military Tattoo.Booking Request Download Brochure Terms & Conditions
