Enjoy a relaxing visit to the remarkable Bundanon Art Museum, set within more than 1,000 hectares of beautiful bushland overlooking the Shoalhaven River near Nowra. Gifted to the Australian people by celebrated Australian artist Arthur Boyd and his wife Yvonne in 1993, Bundanon is now one of the country’s most significant cultural landscapes, dedicated to art, nature, and creativity.
During our visit, guests will enjoy a private guided tour of the current exhibition along with the Boyd Collection Gallery, which showcases works by Arthur Boyd and members of the renowned Boyd artistic dynasty. The Boyd family played a major role in shaping Australian art across several generations, and the collection offers fascinating insight into Arthur Boyd’s powerful and often deeply personal works inspired by the Australian landscape.
After the guided tour, there will be time to further explore the exhibitions at leisure and take in the striking contemporary architecture of the museum, which is thoughtfully embedded into the landscape. Our visit also includes a relaxed shared lunch in the Creative Learning Centre dining room, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy good food and conversation while surrounded by the natural beauty that inspired so much of Boyd’s work.
