A hidden Scottish whisky valley, a colonial coaching village and 150 years of history.
This morning we depart Canberra and travel north into the Southern Highlands, enjoying a relaxing morning tea break en route.
We continue on to the historic village of Berrima for a classic pub lunch at the Surveyor General Inn, Australia’s oldest continuously licensed hotel, before travelling on through the valley to Joadja.
At Joadja Ghost Town, we step aboard purpose-built people movers for a fully guided historic site tour of this abandoned 1870s shale-mining village, followed by a complimentary guided tour and tastings at the award-winning Joadja Distillery.
Following our visit, we commence our journey back to Canberra, making a comfort stop along the way before arriving home in the evening.
