Experience the magic of jacaranda season on this showstopping Sydney getaway! Travel in comfort from Canberra straight to Sydney’s Fish Market for a private Aussie Seafood Barbecue class, cooking up the freshest catch before sitting down together to enjoy it. Settle into your central hotel for two nights, then cruise the harbour’s purple-fringed bays aboard the historic steam launch Lady Hopetoun. Enjoy a picnic lunch on deck, followed by boutique browsing at Birkenhead Point and a relaxed group dinner.
The colour keeps coming on day three! Early risers can catch Sydney’s famous jacaranda display at Kirribilli before brunch at Farm Cove Eatery, surrounded by the beauty of the Australian Botanic Gardens. From there, it’s on to historic Camden for lunch and a drive among its famous jacaranda-lined streets, before the scenic run back to Canberra.
🚶 Activity Level: Moderate (Level 2)
This 3-day tour combines comfortable coach travel with light to moderate walking on Day 3 (approx. 1–2 km, all on flat, sealed paths). Days 1 and 2 are Easy Pace, built around a private cooking class and a seated harbour cruise. Please note Lady Hopetoun has no wheelchair or walker access. One optional early-morning excursion on Day 3 includes an uneven, sloped terrain section (Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden) — this is entirely optional and not required to enjoy the rest of the day.
